I will make my nasty, sarcastic, profanity laced comment after the "A" ride :D until then 500.00 is great - as a matter of fact it really isnt enough :)

Really though. Ive heard its best to ride early and carry some extra goods. Im planning on this ride, but Im not paying $100 FOR A COUPLE BOTTLES OF WATER, and a few snacks, I can carry my own.

I thought they were checking for wristbands or whatever at a certain point. And you would be turned around. I was originally going to ride renegade when i missed online registration but was told that I wouldn't make it through a certain area early on.

Last time I did AMBBR was two years ago and they provided a day-glow sticker to put on the back of your helmet. They do close the road between the "Y" and Meeks Bay due to the large number of cyclists slogging up the hill but I don't recall a "checkpoint". That doesn't mean they weren't removing folks without the sticker though.
BTW, I'll be do it this year.

Yeah I want to ride with my friends - drama free - so if I dont get a registration I will pass. I for one feel much better registering if Im not in my own familiar area. SOOOOOOOOOOOO if you hear of anyone not going let me know.................
Thanks :)

Just go do it the non-organized day of that weekend. I do that loop all the time self supported. Plenty of stores along the way.

You would probably be able to get a registration the day of the ride. A friend of mine did that a couple of years ago and had no problem.
