The local news story on tv led off with the reporter saying "...a way to save on gasoline that will put you behind bars..." My bf didn't miss a beat in adding, 'handlebars.'

(It was about police responding to a call about someone siphoning -stealing- gas from a commercial vehicle.)

:D

When I was a kid, I siphoned so much gas I could probably wring a gallon or two out of my liver.

Another illegal thing to do is make moonshine instead of buying E85. But the good news is that its legal as far as I know if you add a little gasoline to make it poisonous before it becomes drinkable.

my wife's work is being hit by gas siphoner's. everyone is really upset that every time they go out to their vehicle it's empty, many of them have to fill up every day on the way home  my wife just watches the fireworks as she rides her bike, so while everyone is busy hounding their managers and the police to do something about it, she's taking all of the leftover work :D score one for human power!

Someone I know had a fix for gas siphoners. He has a 2 tank pickup. He locked one, and disconnected the other. The disconnected one he filled with gas, and also salt, paint thinner, sugar, and piss. He was astounded how many peoples cars and motorcycles just wouldn't start.

Or on a motor home switch the gas line with the waste line :D Hope they are using a hose and their mouth.

I always use gas cap locks on all my vehicles... just good habit, and it saved one of my cars once, when a thief stole it, it ran out of gas on him.
