Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi all,

I started riding again at the beginning of 2007 after a 7 year break and am looking for a relatively organized cycling group. I am in my mid-30's, an average 15mph rider and try to do 40-60 miles/week and a century every other month.

I would appreciate any club/group recommendations based in Los Angeles.

Regards,

mbach

www.sfvbc.org is based in the San Fernando Valley and offers 4-5 rides ranging from 25 to 100+ miles every Saturday and Sunday. We have a dedicated thread for them on this board. Oh, and welcome back! I started again after an 8 year break last year.

If you are confident of your personhood you might check out the Rainbow cyclists. I went on one of their massage rides.

I thought they were in San Diego? But there is a similar group called different spokes that rides in the LA area. www.differentspokes.com The part I like best about that club is they choose some really pretty routes!
