Hi: I am checking out a craigslist deal. It's a Giant FCR 3 and it's a small (male bike). Can't find what that means on the Net. Is that a 17.5? Thanks much!

I've got an FCR, but it's a large. It's a nice bike and it's easy on the back :)

As far as sizing for the small, it's got a 46.5 cm top tube and it has a 29.8" standover. This is on the Giant website under "Geometry"

edit: As far as size compared to a 17.5" mtb, my uneducated guess is that it'd be close. If the seller is local to you, couldn't hurt to try it on and give it a spin.

Cheers.

The Small geometry on giant-bikes is = to an 18" seat tube. 46.5/2.54 = 18.03
