Hi all

Odd question but here it is. I was out of mtb scene from 1994-2002 so.... I was used to Nukeproof hubs and accesories and ballistic accesories...what happened to those two brands? I am wondering...coz ballistic produced awesome TI/CF parts as nukeproof did...i remember some CF hubs by nukeproof....anyway....

I used to covet NukeProof since they appeared on the scene in the early 90s. But I was but a poor college student back then and I used to say to myself, "when I have the money, I will have things like NukeProof hubs". When I finally was financially able to afford NukeProof or any other high-end components of yesteryear's fame, they were nowhere to be found. :(

Nukeproof only makes frames now I think :)

I am sure everything at CF is now done by CF only. They don't need to relabel anything :)

CF=carbon fiber! ;) Nukeproof made some awesome carbon fiber hubs back in 1994.

Nukeproof makes hubs as well, Maelstrom. And body armor too, I think.

I believe they started out with carbon fibre hubs and handlebars before going on to frames. They also did some titanium and ti-CF components. I don't think they still make those components however.

I haven't seen Nukeproof hubs in a while. They spec'd the cartridge bearings on the small side, they failed prettty regular. If you laced one radial, the bearings would come loose.

I could have SWORN Nukeproof went out of business years ago.
