Hi, I purchased a Collegiate Rider usa cycling license this year. Can I use this as a regular license for summer races or do I have to purchase a normal license?

I am planning to ride for my colligiate team (Virginia Tech) this year but I also want to do a few road races this summer and upgrade to cat 4 (I already have 4 races in from late last year).

I believe you have to pay the money to upgrade to a regular license - your collegiate license only works for college events, to the best of my recollection.

That is what I kind of thought. I'm glad I double checked my account before I tried to enter a race. Thanks
