I'm in Eugene,OR looking at wanting to try/buy a RANS V3 Aluminum before actually buying. Does anyone know who may own one in the general vicinity? Ultimately I'd be buying the XL. Needless to say the shops don't stock.

It's a looker for sure, but low speed handling leaves much to be desired - as do most large wheeled, LWB recumbents. The wider chopper bars exacerbates the problem because it slows the rider's steering inputs.
The RANS V3 and long legs don't mix well either. Once the seat is adjusted for proper leg length, the rider's shoulders are too far aft of the steering axis. The only fix is too add additional "killer" tiller (which seriously disrupts the rider's low speed manuvering abilty), and/or limit seat recline which restricts top speed. If your x-seam is well below 40", then the bike is tolerable, but it's not a rig I would recommend to aging newbies out sniffing roses on a sunday cruise.
