I currently commute by bike from Double Oak (Up near Flower Mound/Copper Canyon/Bartonville) to Coppell just north of DFW Airport. My company has sold the building I work in and is moving to 600/700 hidden ridge in Irving southeast of the airport (near the 161/114 crossing)
I've been trying for a few weeks and I can't seem to find a way by bike to get there. if anyone in the area that bikes around can give me any assistance it would be a great help.

Here is a route on bikely that I setup

Note that the Denton Tap/Belt line stretch from my checking looks completly non-bikable (it would be nice if I was wrong) Going across grapevine dam (fairway drive) is equally impassable if it wasn't I could get from Lakeside Parkway to the airport road I think I'd be good.
Anyone from the area know a bikeable route?
Before I moved to texas I didnt' own a car (bike/train commuted in connecticut/new york) For a while I did drive to coppell until I couldn't stand it anymore and just found a route.

One advantage to Irving is it has a gym so I can ride hard and fast both ways instead of just on the way home of course 23 miles home at 100+ degrees may pose an entirely different problem. :(

Does this look more doable? I just layed this over your current route, so I'm not sure how far it is. (I ride from NE Dallas over to Irving on Royal.)

Cool. Thanks for the info on Royal. I updated my route a little and maybe I'll try and ride it next weekend to avoid all the crazy memorial day folks this weekend. Or maybe I'll take a vacation day to do it and go get my new security badge on my trip.
Overall I think I'm looking at 22 miles or so one way which means more time then my measly 22 mile round trip I have now. My Fuji Touring is a pretty quick ride I have found compared to my old BikeE Recumbent, and honestly much more confortable. That plus being able to ride as fast as I can with a shower at both ends might keep it reasonable.
