really, like really really great.
I put a road brake lever right on the top of the left side, and the only problem is that it is weird to get the tape on and go around the brake right away. I'm anticipating that it will come off pretty quick on it's own.
... but since i have pretty much half as much handle bar as drop, i've got lots of tape left over to try it again when it comes off. woo.

yeah my chopped bars do feel way better than they did un-chopped. i think that for me the drops were to low to be when traffic was heavy, and riding on the tops put my hands in a ****ty position for riding long periods.

bullhorns are best
sometimes you get the urge to chop another set, cept farther up or farther down to see how you like it. some bars have different top and drop lenghts too which is fun to experiment with.
i might try that.

that's what brake hoods are for. well, that and braking

i always found it a little hard to grab brakes from the hoods- i get way more brake(s) in my hand this way. Besides, brake hoods just don't feel right. Maybe it's just because i have cheep brake lever(s) but it just feels wishy washy.

I know the feeling and share your joy.
So simple, huh?
Just like being fixed!

I know! I love how my old bike- the more time i spent on it, the more i added to it. This bike, the more time i spend on it- the less there is on it.

I rode Chopped and flipped for a while, then i got RISERS, like what old English 3spd's had. Really controllable. I seem to be switching handle bars just to try them out. Risers top the bunch, the stem all the way up and risers. Pics asap.

well i dont have any brakes, so i would have to get those nubby things that act like hoods that really suck. or i could acutally put the levers on my bike, cept it would look stupid sans brakes and i like bullhorns better.

Went drops to risers to flipped and chopped bullhorns. Agreed, they are bestest.
