Because the whole team is now known to be doping and he was an employee, the charges would not be against him, but the team instead.

not really, Its like in America when an employee does something wrong under the watch of his employer, the employer is liable.

He was on fraud charges for defrauding multiple German entities. The charges against defrauding T-Mobile/D. Telekom have no merit if the whole team was doping. I don't know about the rest of the fraud charges but he definitely didn't defraud T-Mobile if the T-Mobile team management knew about the doping.
