Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Rubber toestraps?

I remember seeing laminated rubber toestraps being sold on eBay within the past year, but searching for them now yields nothing. I recall them being made by a fairly reputable manufacturer (Toshi, perhaps?), and perhaps being sold by Ben's Cycle? They seem to have disappeared into the ether, so I'm wondering if it was all some sort of fever dream. Can someone back me up on this? Did these things exist? They were black single straps. This is driving me nuts.

i mean they were fine until then! and they were like $10, so if you've got some veg-guilt or something i'd go for it, but just keep a good eye out for cracks

Yeah I have the Sakae straps too..mine haven't broken yet, but it's true, both of them due tend to snap around the same time..it happened to my guys pair a month or two ago...

that being said, they are pretty inexpensive and I like them SO much more than nylon..I really like how they hold there shape, cuz sometimes it's a b**** getting my foot into those stupid floppy nylon straps, they like to grab onto the rubber of my shoes...as long as you keep an extra pair of the rubber one with you, you will be fine..

oh yeah..and rubber is sexy ;)

I've seen several brands over the years. Quite possibly the same straps rebranded by different companies.

Regardless, they all sucked.
