Mrs. Octopus just spent an academic year in Seattle and -- wow! -- did we love it out there. Those pics, as good as they are, don't even do it justice! She lived on Mercer Island, and the 13-mile loop was a popular cycling activity. Such a cycling friendly city, and such a beautiful one, too.

Very nice merlinman,

I visit my bro in Seattle a few times per year. He recently moved to the Mt. Baker area. I thought I recognized the pictures--and then I went back and read your caption about Seward's park. That was the area where I would run along the trail to the park and back to his house on Lake Washington....

I will be out there in June, but with my road bike this time and look forward to riding around the area for a change.

Hope the weather is as beautiful as in your shots. Looking forward to drinking some more brews at Pyramind after finishing my rides...

BTW, recognize the Avatar? I made a special trip to snap that shot.

Everyone just move to Seattle. They are used to having lots of people around! Just stay away from Olympia. It rains way too much here for you. You wouldn't like it. But hey, if you want to come down and visit... this is an awesome place to ride your bike!
