To start the week off, got laid off from my job Tues.
Spent yesterday dealing with OR/WA trying to get unemployment etc...

So today I get up and give the GF a ride to work...Get home, start walking to Veloshop to get my wheels trued (dog in one hand and wheels in the other) and totally shart on myself about half way there.
Drop off the wheels, walk home and take a quick shower.

Drive 45 minutes towards the coast in holiday traffic to get my **** from work, get there to find that I am (due to seniority) the only person that got laid off.

Get back to PDX and go to the bank to cash my paycheck at BOA and they refused/treated me like a criminal...which to their defense honestly happens most every time I go there.
Fine.

Go to Veloshop and get my wheels back which look ****ing great. (super nice guys)
Go home and get my bike back together......
Ride to the video store and on the way from the store get HIT BY A ****ING CAR.
Rad.

You should have stopped right there. Called it a day. Sorry you had such a crappy day. Oooh, sorry about that!:p

BoA = Bunch of *******s

Go Washington Mutual, they're still evil, but less so.

The rear wheel has a little skip in it...not much but it's there.. I think I am going to take it back tomorrow to get check out anyway.
:(

The guy turned to the right directly in front of me so I pulled a hard hard right while slowing to try and avoid a head on.
It totally worked and I slammed my side/etc into the car instead of my bike...broked his mirror off with my hip.
The dude was super freaked out, moreso than me. He was really concerned that my bike was ****ed and after I looked it over he gave me $20 to get my wheels trued again..

Super nice guy, he just made a mistake...

Mistakes happen, glad nobody broke.

**** all banks. Their only job is to **** you whenever possible, as much as possible. Credit unions are the only way to go. I hope things turn around for you.

I'm trying really hard to be positive about it.
I see this as a chance to find a job in the same field that is not a 45 minute DRIVE from home ONE WAY.
I would love to actually be able to commute via bike again.

The only bummer being that my dog got to play on 4 acres of farm land while I was working all day at the job I was just laid off from... :(
