HI! I'm Dave from the suburbs about 30 miles west of Chicago.
I am not a bike rider...don't have much balance left and what I do have I get from eyes. I tend to fall rather ignominiously off them.
However, I needed to buy my daughter a bike to replace the one she's outgrown and I happened to be in a thrift store today and saw what looked like an older girls bike. The more I looked at it, the more I was impressed with quality so I bought it($10...but half off on a sale!)
Got it home and I was going to buy some paint and fix it up but I got busy with something else and when I got back my wife was asking me if I knew anything about Tomos bikes. Well, I actually thought that the logo said *Tom's* but she was right.
The Tomos lettering is made into a stylized bike. It has the logo in front under the handlebars and again under the seat.
Above the logo under the seat is gold-colored lettering * Made in Yugoslavia*.
To my eye the bike was well-made. It's older and a little dirty but not in that bad of shape. No gears and the old back wheel brake. Somebody put a good seat and grips on it.
After googling this bike, it seems unlikely that it really is a Tomos bicycle. It does not fold. Maybe someone put the logos on a different bike? I have some pictures I'll post tomorrow but I'd like to hear if this might be what it says. Thanks! dave_k
