I recently came across a Bridgestone Mb2 for free while looking for a bike when i stay at my dad's. A local bike dealer said that it is a pre-1988 model, probably 1986. I am wondering what its worth could be. Good condition.

Not much...unless you find a buyer who loves bridgestone I don't imagine much more than 20$ at a garage sale.

Free bikes are cool. This would be a good project bike if you could find parts for it. :)

I'm not sure what it's worth nowawadays back back in the day, they sold in the $800-$900 range. Their steel frames were excellent and light being made with Ritchey Logic CrMo tubing. Bridgestone was one of the few companies that stuck to the KISS concept and spec'ed thumbshifters instead of RapidFire/STI. They concentrated on making reliable and practical bikes. I loved the rigid forks they had... beautiful construction. I'd turn it into a singlespeed or try and fully refurbish it with retro parts.
