you have a ride for Wed vance? something not too butt whipping considering what saturday is?????
Yea, come out on our regular wednesday ride. It usually is a pretty big group, with lots of diversity. First half doesn't really have any climbing. From there, some people head back... some head to Malibu and back.

I was hoping I'd see you guys on your descent but I figured since I didn't see any of you, that you headed down Baldy Rd.
Oh well, next time. :)

yeah, fun ride guys! I'm concerned I gave James bad directions from base of baldy to GMR though. I hope he made it!
You bastard! I ended up in Riverside.

No, not really. :p Directions were perfect. I've been through there once or twice, too.

Thanks for putting the ride together, Joy. Great photos! Sorry my lazy ass couldn't make the early start. :o
Good riding with everyone, especially Grasshopper, who paced me up to the lifts.
Sorry I couldn't join you for the ride to the lifts, James.
Thanks for organizing a great ride, Joy. I had a great time. Is every group ride now on going to involve a pic of someone in a sandwich near the end of the ride?

Pace him up the hill. Right. I recall somebody zipping up and cheerfully, with plenty of breath, claiming to want to "get a picture of your struggle" (I think that's right)
I should have sent you to riverside! (j/k, thanks for not letting me head downhill originally)
gr@sshopper and chimivee are too fast for me to try to keep up nowadays. Good for them. Bad for me. After gr@sshopper got off to a few seconds' head start on me on GMR, I decided to give chase, but he simply slowly pulled away from me. Until I was too tired to keep chasing that hard, and I lost him for good. (Well, until we pulled over to catch an incredible view of the clouds from above.)
Oh, and I noticed during the BF sandwich that Happytime might naturally smell really nice. I neglected to test sniff her energy drink, though, so it might just be that. (Or it might not.)

Well, I've basically been doing nothing but riding and hiking for the last 3 weeks, (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=294121) so I may be in better shape than usual. Don't worry, though, it'll wear off soon enough, and we can go back to watching grasshopper pull away, together. :p
Even if you get back to your usual shape, I'd have to do the same (ie start riding more than twice a month) if I'm to hang with you again. It's a bit embarassing how little I ride. :o

You have a problem with that? :p

Awww, man, I'm so bummed we missed you. I would've loved to have ridden with you!
great ride this morning all! coming out of those clouds into the sun will be something i never forget!
Yes, that was cool. It seemed like we broke through the cloud cover in a matter of a few feet... and then we were riding on top of the world!
Chris... my camera is Sony Cybershot 6.0... I think it was between $200-300 at Best Buy.

PIX PIX PIX!!! :D :D :D
Here ya go, Lee.
Sorry no pics of the heels, but I did purposely leave on a big greasy chain mark on my calf... had to represent! And I also sported the arm/ankle biker-tan, but it's hard to see in this photo. Here I am with my very tall sister-in-law (she was in flats), with my mouth stuffed full of Crabcake w/Andouille Sausage topping. Yum!

Great photos as usual, James.
Although the first one is obviously doctored. There is no effing way you ride up a hill at 4mph!

Obviously, you didn't see me on the way up to the lifts. Jason said it's about 4.5 mi... and it took me about an hour... do the math. :o :p
4.6 miles from the intersection with GRR, covering 2200 vertical feet. My best ever timing (second half of my personal best Baldy Rd climb) is 50 minutes for the 4.6 miles. Now, I'd be lucky to do that with fresh legs, much less after having already done 66 minutes of virtually continuous climbing.
