Mountain Biking - You guys know my stance on Shimano, but I will give them credit for 1 thing...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Their current hubs are nice, bought a pre 04 xt front disc hub today, when the burly hub I got wasn't disc compatibleGot a good enough deal on it, laced it up to a spare aircorps rim I had, took it on a ride, all I could say is that it is smooth. I will miss these hubs, next year.

The new hubs (for saint anyways) are actually on par with hope and dt for quality AND performance. Nice to see :)
I run XT hubs. They're alright. I never service hubs, and Shimano's are usually pretty good for that. They're heavy tho

Weight doesn't concern me, I need tough hubs for racing.
