Today I went on a ride with a friend and we swopped bike for a while. He has one of the first Cannondale MTB models that have front and rear suspension.
I must say it was nice. The bike (almost a downhill MTB with large rims also) seemed really quite heavy and it took more effort than I am use to (on my light touring bike) to cycle but is was so comfortable I could not believe it.
Suspension is kind of cool. At least that was a good winter bike I think.
