So I was watching TV, and I saw the commerical for the zune music sharing thing...

though I am one of the self-annointed Apple advertising employee (just kidding btw...but I do love my Apples) I was going to change the channel until I heard the song..

anyways, I'm sure you've heard MIMS "this is why i'm hot" song... though I absolutely HATE that song... Microsoft was playing a song called "This is why I Rock" which was bassed off MIMS song, but about a trillion times better... it was rocking,

and I'm curious, does anyone know if this is an actual song that I can buy?

thanks!

with the first post saying "type in "this is why i'm hot (Rock Mix) into itunes..

and lo and behold there it was... thanks for your help!

So you used iTunes to find a song in a Microsoft commercial?
I was just hit over the head with the irony club.
:D

The name of Zune's rudimentary sharing just scares me: squirting.

I don't want people squirting on my MP3 player...

Although I may end up buying a Zune because as a mp3 player (hype aside), its pretty good. However, its low on my priority list until I'm out of college.

I have two Creative Zens. I have the Vision M and the Zen Nano. Nano for riding, Vision for everything else.

The Zune didn't do anything for me.

I don't watch enough TV to see the ads.

I'm posting to just brag about my MP3 players.

Why am I still typing?

I'm gonna go to bed.

Yeah, that's a good idea.

Okay...

Now.

Off to bed.

Now?

Yes, now.

Really.

Fin.

The band is Purple Popcorn. They have the full song on their website (http://www.purplepopcornband.com).

Squirting?

And I thought "zune" sounded ********. What, are these clowns trying to fail?

Love my mac.

After looking at the Zune boards, and seeing what hoops they are trying to go through to allow their MP3 player to act like a hard disk, and allow copying of files to and from it (something an iPod can do, but it takes special software, or just mounting the filesystem, copying, and tagging file names to tags), I think I'll pass on the Zune.

A Creative Zen Vision:M looks a lot better, and I've had great luck with Creative MP3 players.

now, not sure whaty ou mean, but you don't need anything special to mount an iPod... if you have the button clicked, it mounts exactly like an external harddrive, and functions as an external harddrive.. not special software or filesystems needed.

You don't need anything special to mount an iPod, but you do need a utility that can rename the files on the iPod, when copying files from it to your computer. iTunes can do this if you tell it to.
