Hey there. I'm going on a month-long tour this summer and I'm currently stumped on what tires to buy. My searching has led me to either the Continental Top Contacts or the Schwalbe Marathon Pluses or Supremes. They're going on a road bike, so 700c is the size I'm having to buy. Also, I'll mainly be riding on roads, nothing too harsh or aggressive. What do you think? Any preferences or experiences with either tire? Thanks.

All the ones you mention are supposed to be great tires. Final selection will be based on personal preferences.
I don't have any experience with any of them yet but I am building up a Touring bike and I am going to use the 700x32 Top Contact since the Supremes were not available in that size. However, the Top Contact has not been available in the USA yet. I contacted the US distributer and he told me they were on the way now and should be available later this month.

I have Schwalbe Marathons on my commuter and they are fine so far. My Surly LHT came with Continental Contacts which are durable enough but seem sluggish (heavy, higher rolling resistance).

My LHT is getting a set of Marathon Supremes this week. Stay tuned but I have high hopes. More than 200 grams/tire lighter than the Contacts!
