Training & Nutrition - How to attach bike to blackburn TRAKSTAND

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I found my old blackburn TRAKSTAND RX-1 and would like to attach my bike to it for training. How do I attach my bike with the quick release levers to the trainer? Here's a picture of the trainer and my bike is a KHS Flite 220. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Spin the outside knobs apart. You'll notice that the inside cups have a cut-out to clear the QR lever. Stick bike in between the cups and tighten the outside knobs. When they're FIRMLY tightened onto the QR, tighten the inside knobs to lock the adjuster to the stand.
Then adjust the roller against the tyre. Too little pressure and the tyre will slip on the roller. Too high and you'll have extra resistance and wear&tear on the roller-bearings and tyre.
DannoXYZ - thanks for the reply, but I'll have to post pictures (later) to help further explain the problem. But basically the cutout on the cups is not wide enough to fit the QR lever.
You'll probably need to get a QR lever from your LBS just to use on the trainer. I did that so as not to mar the finish on my Shimano. Get one with metal caps.
Great suggestion, thanks webist! I've got three LBS near me so I should be able to find something.
Final update: Went to the LBS and bought a QR skewer with metal caps, problem solved!
