Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I know a BMX is not strictly a SS/FG but has anyone ever, just for fun, geared one at ~65GI+ with a flip flop to something more bmxish as a run around. I'm planning to build up an alloy frame, make it really light (for a bmx), polish most of it and run black everything else for a bit of a laugh.

i rode around on a bmx for a couple of years because i loved single speed and actually thought that was the only way to go ss. i know! idiot. i loved it but the spinning out was a pain. still because i was an idiot i got rid of it. now i know better and a year ago i was thinking about doing the same thing. they are a blast to fool around on. go for it! might still myself...
