i rode down mount snow yesterday for the first time on a real expert mountain and though my bike did keep up, with better parts i could have done much better riding. for expert downhill riding my tires just dont come close to cutting it. i ride a 07 specialized rockhopper with specialized fast trak tires. any recommendations on good professional beefy tires that will absorb some of the terrain doing downhill riding? my tires now just glide over the ground while in brake position. also...bigger and better disc brakes? i now have 6" shimano 415 mechanical disc brakes. do hydraulic disc brakes work better? i am lastly looking to upgrades my brake/shift levers from entry level intergrated levers to two piece quality brake and shifters. any suggestions?

Paragraphs, cohesive thoughts and capatilization would help for starters. :)

Look up some.

ect.
I don't know if your frame/fork can handle a true downhill tire. Maybe. Probably get a 2.35, 2.4 width instead of a 2.7ish. So look at the Freeride tires also.

Yeah, be sure to get true DH tires or your bike will be a lie. Be sure it can handle the truth first though

Maxxis Highrollers for tires.

Avid BB7s for brakes.

yea, you have my least favorite tires on that bike. unfortunately, they seem to come on every single specialized bike.
