Mountain Biking - Advise Needed!!!!

Hey everyone I'm just new to this site, looks awsome, everything from BMX, to downhill. I have few quiestion to anyone who is looking to give a little bit of advice. I curretly own a old Giant, decent bike, I'm able to take it all over challenging trails, over just about anything, and it holds up real nice. But I have have a job coming up soon adn I want to put a new fork and a new set of wheels onto my bike. I'm goign to be riding a whole lot of trails and i'm not goign crazy and looking to ride down the sides of rocks or cliff sides, basic to advance trail riding I would say. I'm not looking to spend roughly, 200-250 one the fork and 300-350 on a set of wheels, and the less the better for this point of my life. I'll most likly be going though ebay beucae it looks to be the best place to go for now. Does anyone have any advice on what type of wheels I'm looking for, i.e. double/triple walled, number of spokes, size of axis, and with the fork I think i'm looking for osemthing around 130mm of travel and other than that I don't know. I'm thinking of the Canoondale Lefty, seems to be real lightweght, stong, and reasonable priced. Please help me out

Depending on how much travel you have on the giant, it isnt reccomened to add anything over 20mm to that original fork. If the giant has 100mm as stock, than 130mm is too much. As for the lefty, it's possible, but you will have to buy the wheel, or hub I should say, that will accept it. For the wheels in general, not sure of the kinds, but a lot of websites carry really nice wheelsets anywhere from 100-300.

Any website, or sites, you find to be remarkable reliable?

And the bike at most has 500 miles on it. Not many at all. In great shape

You'll want to match your fork length with your shock length. The C'dale Lefty requires a 1.5 inch headtube. I don't think you'll find a used Lefty for $200-250, even on Ebay. However, you might find some old Fox's, Rockshox, or Marzocchi's in that range (used, of course). Azonic Outlaws wheels can be had for around that price. Also try American Classics and Mavic Crossrides($200 brand new) :beer:
