Went on a little rec ride this morning and thought I'd share some pics with you. All this open area is surrounded by new homes so I imagine it wont be too long till a Wal-Mart or Home Depot invades the area.

I live in Reno and have relatives in the Bay Area, so I go through Roseville probably 15 or 20 times a year. Hadn't stopped there in a long time, though, until last fall. Freaking place looks like San Jose now...I was shocked, but not surprised--I lived in Central California most of my life, and it makes me sick what's been done to it. For years I thought people would wake up and say, "Hey, this is one of the best places in the world to live. Let's see if we can not f*** it up." Not going to happen. though.

Which path is that? Miner's Ravine?

Miners Ravine? I don't believe so.....Does the run into Rocklin? Near Secret Ravine?
This one crosses Woodcreek Oaks Blvd. Right there near Blue Ravine rd by Safeway. Then it ends up at a new park called Veterans Park. I can't recall the name of the street thats on. It's near Fiddyment Rd. I hear all these bike trails throughout Roseville will be connected one day. I would love to ride my bike to work but untill I have a better choice then Taylor Road I'll stick to the Honda.
By the way, welcome to the Forum Chieftan

Hmmm, I'll have to pop over there and check it out,... I'm right up by Pleasant Grove and 65. I heard that someday the American River Path will be a full loop that comes right through Roseville. That'll be a grand day if it ever happens before I retire. Currently, I split my commute to Folsom up a bit. Most days, I take the cage part way and bicycle the rest. Other days, the Ducati takes me the long way. :)

I drive through that terrible intersection everyday. (Pleasant Grove & 65 ) There's certainly no groves and it sure isn't pleasant! I at least head east towards Reno while everyone else heads to Sac during rush hour(s).
Yeah just cruise down Pleasant Grove and take a right on Woodcreek. When you see a big open area with tress that's it! Don't forget! It's absolutely legal to ride on those rolling curvy sidewalks in Roseville and they're a lot more exciting and smoother then the street are.
