Kona sells both the Explosif and the Unit as frames. But for the life of mine, I can't see any difference between the two - granted, I only own an Explosif, but I was wondering what does the Unit have, that the Explosif doesn't? Or vice-versa?

I think the only difference is that the Unit does not have the rear mech hanger. Of course you could add one if you wanted.

I guess there might be a bit of a difference in the available colours, but that's something that changes from season to season (I have no idea about the 2007 Explosifs).

Yup - I looked at both of these frames. They also seem to be the same to me. I love the way Kona does its rear dropouts. You just need to set it up once, and then you can use a skewer for the rear wheel. Pretty sweet.
