Hi there Going to build a second pair of rims for my Cannondale Caad 9 and i have heard good comments of Chris king Hubs Campy And Dura ace .I will use Velocity Rims But the good question is bettewen Hubs.please some comments good or bad price is not a problem but looking for something that it isgood and something that it will last.thanks

Well, I'm assuming your Cannondale is stock? You probably have a Shimano drivetrain, which immediately eliminates all Campy hubs. Shimano cassettes simply don't fit on Campagnolo hubs.

Chris King hubs, when coasting, create a buzz that sounds like you have a million angry bees after you. They do roll forever though. If you live in a hilly area and coast downhill a lot -- well, you might want to give one a listen before you buy!

I've never heard anything bad about DuraAce hubs. They'd be my choice.

The bike is completly stock with all ultegra parts , i heard that Cris king hubs where some off the best and that they last a long tome ..Live in a fairly flat area not to many hills and not close to the coast..any other sugestion on any other brand of hubs..thanks

If you're looking for well-made hubs of a reasonable weight, get Ultegras and forget about it. Otherwise, spend whatever your wallet will allow for whatever strikes your fancy. Anything more than Ultegra is really far more about fashion than function.

Phil Wood hubs are usually considered the best in terms of durability and quality. They will probably outlast any others.

They cost a bunch though... a bit more than King hubs.

I test rode a bike with those hubs, and let me tell you, it was not stealth! I really didn't like it, but I should be kicking myself since the bike was such a good deal.

Oh, and is it true that some Campy hubs make noise when coasting as well?
