I have a mtn. bike that is having drivetrain problems. Whenever I coast the cassette wants to continue to spin forward and results in throwing the chain over the top. I can say that I haven't been the best about cleiang the drivetrain but I lube it often.

New chain and cassette?

Do I have a freewheel problem?

Just need a clean and lube?

Any suggestions?

I think you mean a freehub problem. If you push the bike forward do the pedals turn?

Sounds like you need a new rear hub. I've heard stories of the freehub body seizing up and I don't know if it can be fixed.

yes exactly.

You could see if a shop could just lube it up, but there are also replacement freehubs available. I have never tried to service one myself, so I can't be much help. Here is the link to the Park instructions:

Good luck.
