Hello, I´m from Brazil and I´d like to ask someone for a advice.
I weight 230 lbs (105 Kg) and I´m deciding wich bike I should go for mountain biking. I´ve been told the CADEX CFR - 2 is a very good bike but I´m afraid this bike will not support my weight since it is made of carbon. I also have the coice for a Trek 4300 which is alluminium. I hope someone would help me to decide wich bike would be best, taking on consideration my weight.

Thanks a lot,

For your weight I would look at a steel frame for a MTB. As far as I can remember the Cadex MTB frames from Giant were lugged and were prone to failure, that was many years back. I know that Giant made Cadex frames for road bikes back in 2001.
Anyway aluminum fatigues at a greater rate than steel for heavier ridders it is a better choice. Carbon is good but......
