sugino 75's with EAI cog and some $70 njs chain. was quiet as can be but got caught in some rain by the beach and got sand everywhere now its noisy so im assuming thats the culprit. if so would i just need to hose off the chain and re lube it?

forget the hose use a sandblaster.

is you serious????? god damn... you shouldn't be allowed to spend $70 on a chain unless you have %70 or more of the intelligence of a ****ing fly, and by that standard you sir don't deserve that chain or those parts....
P.S. use the search function or google and look into chain maintance

That noise is your bike telling you not to use lube, or clean your 70 dollar chain.
NJS chains actually have oil that's been injected into tiny little pores you can't see in the metal; the noise is the oil being released and doing it's job.
