Does anyone know where I can buy one of the Tektro 1272AF fork mount cable hangers.

My Redline Conquest came with one, but I need another for a girl friend's Bianchi Axis. Her fork shudders like crazy (it's scarey!).

I'm hoping the new cable hanger will take care of it.

I know Harris Cyclery has the part for $15, but out of principal I hate paying their exorbant prices + shipping (this is a $5 part if you can find it a LBS). Also, I'd prefer it in black.

Thanks,

Ed

Try Loose Screws or Bike Tools Etc, but keep in mind that both have a minimum order of $10.

I started a similar post (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=279003) a couple months back. I had a very hard time finding the part locally. It's available in the SBS catalog, but most of my local retailers were reluctant to order from them and/or would charge extra to meet their minimum.

On a fluke, I called a random bike shop here that ended up having it. It was actually branded a Suntour part (Suntour XC60 / 133116), but appears identical to the Tektro part. $12.

It was in the parts bin of their shop, so I doubt they have more. But if you still have trouble finding it, I can see if they have another. A little cheaper than Harris, but not much, since I'd still have to ship it to you.

BTW, Harris only has them in silver, but Sheldon said, "paint it."
