hi. i just bent my fork all too sit last week, riden thru centrel park, i did a jump an landed hard an bent my front fork. so, i goes to my frend julio, he sells all kinda bikes an bike parts.
annyway, he sells me a manitou forkm an shows me how to take the old fork off and put the new fork on. we banged in a coupl new bering rases with a hammmer, an put all the stuff back onto the bike. wow, a spring fork relly rides nice!!
anyway, i got a problem. the new fork dont clear my bottom tube al the time. sometime, when i turn and the fork is riding low, the break hits the bottom tube. i think this fork got the breaks on the other side thet the old fork did. how can i get the fork to ride higer, so the breaks dont hit?

julio shud be aware there ar diffrent springs and rubber bumpers that go inside the fork to change the tension- maybe youu need
a less softer spring set. There are also brake extenders that will have more high arch in the midle to clear better. One or both of thses approchs may hep. Steve

It sounds to me like you have one of the newer manitou forks with the reverse arch on the lower casting. The Brakes ALWAYS go on the front of the fork. The arch on your particular fork goes towards the back, its a little different but manitou claims that it makes the fork stiffer. Turn your fork around for the love of god.
