I can't ride anymore. For the past year, I've been having knee pain when I'm riding. It has gotten so bad that I'm slightly limping a couple days afterwards when I walk and my quadriceps muscles around my knee are now feeling tweaked. I've tried raising the seat, adjusting the cleat positions, etc. but still have the pain.

Is there any place I can go to have my bike & cleat properly aligned so I won't have this problem? If not, then I'm hanging up my helmet. I'm okay going running and weightlifting and my left knee is fine.

see a sports med doctor, stat. Pain like that just shouldn't happen unless there's already a deeper problem.

Get a professional fit at a good bike shop. Do some Googling first to get a basic understanding.

And definitely see a doctor, get a referral to a physical therapist or GOOD trainer.

ive just been/still going through knee pain. see a doctor, get a good professional bike fit, and see a physical therapist. google is your friend also.

during my PT, it was discovered that i have tight hamstrings, so i do stretches for hamstrings, groin, hip flexors and started doing lunges and wall squats yesterday. stregthening of vmo muscle for me is required as well.
