My sister and I rode the Tour D'Italia ogranized ride in Italy, Texas. They had rides up to 100K. We did the 42 mile ride. This was my sister's second organized ride and she did great. The ride was great! A nice ride through gently rolling hills and farm land. Is that milo or corn? I don't know it looks the same to me. Lots of cyclists out to enjoy the ride and very friendly too. Which is great. The rest stops were wonderful. Lots of the usual stuff, water, gatorade, orange slices, bannanas, cookies (moon pies! mmmm) and ice cold plums. The plums were great. I think you can gain weight on these types of rides if your not careful. The last rest stop was supposed to have Elvis performing, but I heard he had a gig in Waco to attend to. He was at the start though. Roads were nice. The chip seal the use here in Texas had worn down so the roads were smoother. After the ride they had more plums and ham burgers, hot dogs and sausage on a stick for a nominal price. All proceeds going to the Italy High School scholarship fund. Weather was warm and humid, but it is late June in North Texas so it was expected.

Will make this ride next year. Got a neat t-shirt and water bottle too.

Ride safe.

When was that ride and when it is scheduled for next year. My wife used to live in Italy Texas so we would be interested in riding.
