In my opinion, this stage will be the trigger. Lance notices these Europeans are not running on "mineral water". Knowing his temper, he will be gutted. He arrives 6min23 behind the day's winner Indurain.
During stages 11 and 12 in the Pyrenees, he'll lose another total 28 minutes...Stage 15, he won't start at all.
