Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Is anyone familiar with this program? I'd like to learn at least basic maintenance and having someone actually teach would be better than trying to decipher a book, especially since I currently know next to nothing about bike parts/maintenance.

If I remember correctly, you should be able to find some threads on the subject by searching the forum.
Years ago, I eBay'd a copy of the "textbook" that Park uses/gives in this program. It seemed pretty comprehensive.
Though I've never taken the class, I'd guess they do a good job. Of course, it's going to depend on the skill (wrenching and teaching) of the particular instructor.
REI also does a reasonable job with their comprehensive (not the free class) bike maintenance course.
