Foo - Google Maps "Street View" ...very cool

Anyone try the new street view on Google Maps?
I think its only available in big cities maybe (try NYC like zip 10040).
It lets you see actual street level pictures and people walking by and cars.
then you can zoom and rotate (3d view) on the street too!
Amazing....i hear they are adding sound to it in the near future so you can hear what its like to be there.

I happened upon it today when looking for directions. It's pretty neat. Works for San Francisco, as well.

And Vegas. You can drive right down the strip! What a great timesuck.

Yeah, I think that came out about 2 days ago, or at least for NYC.

And the resolution for the San Fran pictures is a lot better than what NYC has, can't see the perverts as clearly

And I think Microsoft did something similar a few months or even a year ago. But I remember the pictures were pretty bad and it wasn't nearly as easy to navigate.

I would be paranoid, if I were deluded enough to actually think someone cared about my mundane existence.
