The front crank bearings on my Norco Sidewinder are shot and my crank wiggles so i succsefully get the bearings out of my old bike the front gears took a few hits with a hammer and it came right off.

Though my Norco is a different story and i dont want to bend anything?

Hwo do i get them off!!!

Use a crank removal tool. Most LBS's stock them. They're about $10. A hammer is the last thing you want to use.

Heres the scoop i took off the right pedal and took out the bearing housing and bearings so all i have is the right gear assembly which obviously means the arm and pedal as well and in the older cherokee bike i did the same and the whole left gear assmebly side popped right out with a tap off the hammer.

Well My norco is a 650$ bike and i geuss it is better built LOL! i just need ot know how to get off the right gear assembly.

Ooops, what he said :) ^^

Bookmark this site in your Favorites list, it's got some good how-to stuff: http://www.parktool.com/repair_help/FAQindex.shtml

Basically what ljbike said. Remove the bolt that holds the gear assembly onto the spindle, and then use a crank extractor to pull the crank off the spindle (it's a press-fit part). The full rundown is here: http://www.parktool.com/repair_help/FAQrCarm.shtml

Make sure to follow the steps in order. :)
