GMR Ride *Video* - 5/30/2007

So i copied Luwin's idea and went up to GMR today with a friend to take some video.

Please excuse the ShakeyCam™, the camera was jury-rigged to the handlebars on the decent by wrapping the shoulder strap around afew times then tying it in a knot to make sure it doesn't hit the asphalt. I also had to keep my thumb on the camera handle to hold it "steady" while the rest of the fingers on my right hand clenched the handlebars (this meant i only could use my front brake). :eek: Don't try this at home kids. :lol: I'm a professional. Professional cytotech, not cyclist or cameraman (but when has that really mattered?) :roflmao: As for the rest of you adults, try this at home. :p

The fixed part of the road looks good though, I can't wait to go down that bad boy this weekend:D

Actually, after watching the video and listening with headphones, i think i'm going to go back and edit the video to get rid of the windnoise on the majority of the downhill parts... I found it to be annoying. :(

Oh, and just as warning, my apologies for the explicit lyrics in one of the songs i used (The Crystal Method - Name Of The Game)... So if you're at work you might not want to pump up the volume too much. :lol:

We weren't able to make it to the top gate of GMR yesterday. We only made it about 7 miles past the gate before having to head back down since my friend had a birthday dinner to attend.

I'll be back up there sometime soon though with more time and hopefully a helmet mounted camera. :)
