News & Announcements - Internet Brands acquires BikeForums.net

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Cypress to answer your question, I suppose the new parent company will have to list the sale with the SEC, however, I doubt bikeforums company name is Bikeforums.net on SEC docs. Likely Joe's MNGMT company or something like that. You should look in next quarters 10-K reports.

No offense, but I hope the ads will change now, the animated ads are really annoying, especially the one from a while back that shows that guy's gut.
Press the ESC key. The animation will stop.

What browser?

Usually, you have to disable Flash and GIF animation to get that to happen.

If it bothers you that much, get a red star, though. (I plan on it eventually, don't worry...)

Seriously on that topic....

One great thing about the Red Star is that it eliminates the ad clutter. I hope this is something that does not change.

Yes, the red star shields one from all that is evil and unclean. I strongly urge those not sporting the star to reconsider. Before the ads get BIGGER.

Joe,

a little late here, but thanks for all the work you put into BF. Your future plans don't include politics, do they?

Congratulations Joe. You have certainly earned it. Having been a very proud member here since January of '05 I am happy to have been able to watch the site grow even since then. Best of luck in your future endeavors. You desreve it.

Many Thanks and Cheers,

Greetings, all. John from Internet Brands here. As Brian said, we do not have plans for any significant changes, other than providing more back-end resources. We think BikeForums.net is a great site as it is...hence our interest! :) That said, we do have a strong tech team, and hopefully our marketing folks can help bring even more users to the site. We look forward to supporting this thriving online community!

Greetings John, and welcome aboard (albeit a bit late). Thank you for taking on such a task and wanting to become a part of this wonderful community. This forum has kept me sane through the last 4 winters of my life when the weather did not permit to be out as much as I would like to be. I wish you all the best of luck and hope you maintain the site so it continues to be as great as it has been.

Regards,

Brian J.
