I just got a Selle Italia Nova (http://www.bikesomewhere.com/bikesomewhere.cfm/productLarge/243/1659/4758 first site when googled), and I wanted to cut the tip off so that I could move the saddle close to three cm forward (and still have the tip for extra power). Have any of you guys done that? I'm just wanting to make sure its not going to come apart or I'm going to get cut.

I've never done it, though I think you want to make sure you are in front of where the rails connect to the saddle. I don't know if you'll be able to get a full 3cm, but should be able to get some.

Also, I think a smart way to do it would be to peel the leather back, cut the insides of the saddle off and then somehow use the still attached leather to cover up the cut job.
