1. The English Patient-Booooooooooooooooooring. British accents do not automatically equate to good cinema.

2. Forest Gump -It just made stupid people feel better about themselves, and Pulp Fiction deserved that Oscar.

3. Ace Ventura: Pet Detective -Wasn't funny.

I thought of a couple more recent ones:

Casino Royale
300

Casino Royale was o-kaayyy, because it was nice to see a different kind of Bond, but overall, the movie kinda bored me towards the end.

300, same story. The plot was too simple to hold my interest, cinematography was like an over-the-top music video, excessive use of bad voiceover, and again, I got pretty bored during the action scenes.

Then again, action movies in general tend to bore me at some point, without fail.

I really like Casino Royale. To me, it was the best Bond movie in a generation. I agree with you on 300.

+1 on Kill Bill AND A History Of Violence

A History of Violence felt like a horrible made for TV movie that would only be shown late at night. The acting felt really forced, the dialogue sucked, and the plot sucked. It got really good reviews. I don't understand what I missed.

Awww, Kubrick? Really? His work spans so many genres and styles (period piece: Barry Lyndon, war movie: Full Metal Jacket, Sci-Fi: 2001, Horror: The Shining, etc) there had to be something enjoyable in there, no? Ah, well, to each his own.

P.S.
I did enjoy most of Tarantino's films, and I liked Mulholland Drive, but I agree with you 100% on Rodriguez.

Titanic, Forest Gump (although it does make some good points) and (i am probably going to get slaughtered for saying this, but what the heck) TOP GUN!!!!! absloutly horrible. Tom Cruise is just, just, just, dang it. I can't say it here. You get the idea.

you're right, top gun is horrible. I can't remmeber who it was, but they described it as a two hour ad for after shave...something to that effect.

Same for Dirty Dancing- what a ridiculous piece of crap...and GHOST! Patrick swayze...the guy has all the sexual charisma of liver.
