I've mostly rode throughout the north bay and just started to ride around Woodside. I'm trying to plan out a route for this weekend and i'm not sure if this a good route. I was planning on coming down on a road called "Rabley Trail" accoring to google maps. The map shows a route between Skyline Blvd and Alpine Rd. Here's my proposed route: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1005104

Is this a good way to come down from Skyline Blvd?

I would suggest maybe the alpine loop.

yeah. The alternative would be to ride to Page Mill, descent to Gate 1 and work your way through Palo Alto Foothill Park. Or take Page Mill all the way down to intersection with Arastadero rd. (before 280), turn left and take Arastadero to Alpine.

I bike in this area pretty regularly and have never heard of Rabley Trail. It must be a private driveway that goes through the Fogerty Winery property. I do not know how kindly they will take to trespassers. I recommend going down Page Mill Road instead.

The Alpine loop recommended by BigSean is very nice. The Sequoia metric century does a variant of that (climbing Page Mill instead of Old La Honda) this Sunday: http://www.westernwheelers.org/main/sequoia

As far as I know, there are no bicycle-legal routes out of Foothill Park except for the main entrance on Page Mill Road.
