Hi Folks,

I went to the Giant US website today to look up specs on a bike. This article caught my eye,

http://www.giant-bicycle.com/en-US/en-US/news/11835/

The 73 year old chairman and founder of Giant bikes did a 15 day tour of Tapei (on a Giant bike of course!).

I know this article is a PR item, but I thought it was a nice article.

The Giant founder hopes that his tour of Taiwan is only the beginning of a global transformation to inspire more people to experience life on a bicycle ...

It appears he rode on one of giant's high end road racing bikes.

It would have been more impressive if...unsupported, fully loaded on a mid 90's Kronos (which I own) sold as a "sport, touring bike".

Racing bike or touring bike, supported or unsupported...you gotta give the guy credit.

He rode 927 kilometers, climbed a mountain pass and is 73 years old. He could have easily taken the tour in his chauffeured limo, but he chose a bike instead. I hope I'm still riding when I'm that age. :D
