So today was very eventful for two reasons (see my earlier post about bird stand-off for the first reason). The second reason was I finally got a Burley Flatbed trailer. Took it to the store to pick up water softener salt, and on the way there I passed a pedestrian on the sidewalk who yelled out, "I like your trailer! Cool!" At the store, I took a chance and loaded three 40 lb bags, even though the stated weight limit is 100 lbs. It held fine, but I probably shouldn't be carrying that kind of load on a regular basis.
This weekend's mission: load up on kitty litter and food.

First of all, cool! Congrats! But second of all, yeah, don't exceed the weight capacity of the trailer. I can't say I've done it a lot w/ our Burley kid shuttler, but the wheels are no longer up-and-down perpendicular to the road, they are definitely canted in at the tops. And in my own case, the kids keep gaining weight, so the share of capacity allottable to cargo is only decreasing.
