New site: Chicago Bike Racing

I'm starting to spread the word about Chicago Bike Racing (http://www.chicagobikeracing.com), a Web site to follow the local racing scene and help introduce new racers to the sport.

My latest feature: an interview with Reid Mumford (http://www.chicagobikeracing.com/blog/archives/2007/05/cbr_interview_r.html), a longtime amateur racer who had his pro debut cut short this spring with a terrible accident while training in Virginia. Amazingly, he has kept up the trainer, despite the fact that he'll be on crutches for another four weeks.

Let me know if you spot any errors or have any suggestions. This will be fun!

I'm hoping to be out there if I can get a ride. It's a fun course and should be exciting. And with several different citizens fields, it's a good weekend for beginners.

A friend of mine will be racing. I'm not going to be able to be there this time. I'll do a Chicago Cup race or two this Fall though.

I just moved from Ft Lauderdale to Chicago (South Loop - 13th & Michigan), move into the condo from the temporary apt next month and get the bike from storage at that time. I'm extremely excited to find some groups to ride with and to start racing (probably in '08). Your site has already helped.
