A GOOD WEEK: FOR ME, THAT IS!
Rode 6 of 7 days, 140 miles, and had a lot of fun. Walked on that 7th day. Lost about 4 pounds (I gained on my recent trip). First week in some time that I feel I have really accomplished my goals.
Ahh - about 100 smiles per mile, also.
My body is yelling for a rest from riding, which will happen tomorrow automatically as all day is taken up with singing in 3 choirs and a family get-together!

Well, if no one else is going to comment:
You rock! You are 14 years my senior (or so) and I have no doubt you could kick my ever-enlarging fanny. You guys are truly a role model, or is the term mentor, for me. At least in the bike world.

Well, thanks.
The strange thing is I don't feel "old" in the slightest. I feel "young," which is why those roadies, claiming that 50 is OLD, tend to get me going a bit. What do they know?

Good for you. Keep it up my friend. Just got back from my ride and did 33.4 miles to start the new month. The saddle held tight this time and tried the new mirror mounted on my eyeglass that needed few tweaks and finding the right angle to mount it perfectly, so it was an excellent day. If tomorrows weather is nice, I would go ride again hoping to achieve that goal of 150 miles a week.
It is always good to be able to say one has had a good week,,,because seven days of not so good makes one weak.
peace

Only another week till my holiday where I will be able to get out on the bike a bit more often. Just hope that I have the inclination to ride after all the lazing around the pool.
And Dnvrfx- I have just started to realise the smiles per mile and that is just as important as the milage I should be getting in at my age.

Sounds like a great week. Good to see the weather seems to be cooperating out there.
Not much riding down here since Friday, lots of rain which we need badly and I have a business trip up to Jacksonville from Sat-Mon. Nice day today very windy but my hotel is right on the river so I got a nice Sunday walk for a few miles.
