I checked the BFNIC ride list and only two are down for this one. Anyone else?
What-BCLC Ramble
Where-Wilmot, WI
When-June 10th (Sunday)
Distances-12 mile family, 30, 50, 70 and 100.
Website- http://www.bikebclc.com/ramble/about_ramble.htm#Registration
See you there.
I'm in for either the 50 or 70. I'll see how I feel. I'm pretty tired after today's Udder century. I ride with these guys every Sunday (unless there's a BF century get together). I keep putting off officially joining them, I don't know why. They're a great bunch of people.

I was unaware you drive a race car. Obviously it is just work and not for fun if it is a business obligation.

:) Hello everyone, I just joined Bike Forums and I'm in for the 30 mile Wilmot. My first ride this year after a short leave. Se you there:)
Welcome aboard. I registered through active.com, but it got hung up so I guess I'm not sure if I'm registered or not. I'm riding to the Fairgrounds, and hoping to start by 7am. I changed my mind, I'm doing the 100. What can I say? My legs feel better now :)

I'm willing to meet up and say hi and meet some peeps, but I can't guarantee I'll ride with anyone, because I'm kind of slow... 15mph-18mph perhaps... not sure, I here there are lots of hills!
but if anyone is interested in meeting up, name a time and I'll be there.
I definitely plan on going if it's nice and there's no wind!! I don't care for a 2nd Sudden Century, sigh.

whitesox-
If 15-18mph is slow, how does 13-15 sound?
I'm in for a meet & greet, just look for the KISS destroyer jersey.
I'm up for a meetup. How about we stick to the BFNIC meeting plan? Meet around 6:45am near registration and roll out at 7am? I'll wear my blue/black jersey riding a red Giant ocr. How does this sound...we can ride as a group until routes split off, then riders can choose to continue with those going farther or ride whatever pace your comfortable with?

hey midschool... I'm good with 13-15 as well, that's probably my normal range anyway.
I'll be wearing this :)

sounds good. I will see you all there at 6:45am... but I'm sure I don't ride nearly as fast as the group :(
Hey whitesox, cute jersey.
I'm coming down from Milwaukee for the ride and would love to meet up with some of you guys as well.
I don't think you'd have any trouble recognizing me. Pink, blue and orange polka dotted bike.

Oh my Lord, I think I saw your bike on the 50/75 miles Miller ride route, really nice looking Trek
Yep, that was probably me. I did do that ride and the Trek 100 the day before.
I guess it's kind of hard to sneak by people with that bike.

Anyone want to start with their ride report?
I rode 5 miles from my house to the meeting place. I met "nothingman" a little after 7am. He still needed to get ready, and I needed to leave right away. I didn't see anyone else from here so I split. I had to be back by 9am to meet the wife and kids for the "family friendly route" we planned on doing. The day was perfect for riding. Weather was a little cool, gentle winds, empty roads, and friendly bikers. The ride seemed to have a lot of hills that never went down. About 5 miles into the ride I realized that I never took my Benadryl, and I forgot my eye drops at home. I tried to tough it out, but man I'm a sissy with my allergies. At the rest stop I refueled on cookies and half a sandwich. I rinsed my dry, itchy eyes with water from my bottle. Relief lasted only 2 miles after I left the stop. I didn't realize that in my haste to get ready, I never washed my bottle (it had accelerade from Saturday's ride). Just rinsed and filled with water. By now I'm 12 miles from the start/finish...dry, itchey, red eyes that felt like they were bleeding, and now my eye lashes are sticking to each other so it's real irritating to even blink. I stopped and called the wife to ask her to bring the eye drops when they come. I raced all the way back because I told my wife to be there at 9. I got to the finish just after 9am, and waited for my family to show up. Doused my eyes, and got everyone's bikes off the car. I switched to the MTB with the trail-a-bike attatched for my 6yo. We all headed out on the 12 mile family route with minimal hills. I was glad to have a "stoker", and I was just happy to be taking it easy after what I just went through. It was a nice scenic route, and we saw a deer in a field. The kids loved that. We made it back to the applause of the SAG guy that passed us 3 times during our ride. Chowed down on brats and cookies, and headed home. Total for me today was 52 miles. We all had a good time. I hope everyone else's ride was enjoyable.

I pulled in right about 7am due to being stuck behind a S.A.M.V. (slow ***** moving vehicle) along the way. I did catch a glimpse of the polka dotted Trek that SJCzar owns. Very nice. The ride was just like nvr mentioned. Cool weather, gentle winds, empty roads and friendly riders. It did seem there were more uphills than downers. Which is fine with me. Got done and headed straight over for a massage. Almost fell asleep on the table. Had some brats and then drove home. It was a great day although I would have liked to have met whitesox, SJCzar and nvr. Maybe next time.
It was a great day for a ride. White Sox and I didn't get to meet up until after the 1st rest stop. From there we rode with a nice guy who had done the ride a few other times. We ended up doing the whole 100 route. The club does a good job of putting on the event and we also enjoyed the food from the Knights of Columbus at the end.
I really liked having the central rest stop. It was nice to be able to switch the loops around if you wanted to (we got the blue out of the way before the red). I think that set-up helped make some riders decide to go for it all, as it broke the route up into more manageable sections.
It was alot more fun having someone to ride with (thanks white sox and John). Hopefully, we'll get to meet up again for another ride someday.

I did my first century at Ramble!!, yay!!!.... and mostly due to SJCzar for hanging with me almost the entire race, and our friend John that rode with us as well.
It was a great day!! I met SJCzar on the second loop, but she is so powerful with the hills, I lost her and told her to go ahead, LOL!! I saw her at the rest stop and she and I and John decided to do the biggest, 30 mile, loop together... so we did :) What a great ride, and good to get the biggest loop out of the way early on.
The rest of the ride was just maintenance... going my pace and hanging in there with SCJzar as she took those hills like bumps in the road, LOL!! I'm serious guys, you've met your hill competition with her :)
So yes a great ride and a great accomplishment for me as well, my first century :)
SJCzar... I haven't emailed you yet, but I will.... I still have your email... and thanks for hanging with me... without you, I wouldn't have been able to complete my first century :)

He'll always be "Wayne the Lurker" after last year's Udder. Good to know he's still out there.
Congrats everyone on what sounds like a great ride!

like others have said, beautiful weather. i woke up a lot later than i had planned so i didn't get there in time to look for any of the BFNIC peoples. i found a paceline of about 10 people at the start and rode with them for the first loop. it was nice and quick and i was averaging 21mph at that point.
i lost the paceline group after the first stop so i headed out on my own for the second loop. and just in case you didn't know, riding solo requires much more effort than riding in the middle of a paceline </sarcasm>. anyways, after the second loop, one of the gentlemen from the original paceline found me and we ended up riding the final loops together, which was nice. my legs went dead after about 60 miles, so my new friend helped lead me into the rest stops and waited up for me a couple times. we found a couple guys on tri-bikes that we ended up riding with off-and-on as they caught up to us.
anyways, i was riding a moots vamoots and wearing a blue/black argyle jersey in case anyone saw me.
