Well I'm finally out of the bathroom....

I propose that the teams go to 6-person teams. The team that is perceived to be the fastest (my vote is the Wi team based on shear race results alone...you have some...we don't) must start first. Teams start 10 minutes apart.

Winner determined by the time difference between the two teams at the finish. Time taken at 4th member of team to cross "finish". This allows 2 team members to be "lost" due to speed/mechanical issues.

One rider from each group will have the "official" computer of the team. Preferably this will be a Garmin or other GPS unit. Any disputes will be resolved using their data files. Gentlman's/gentlewoman's sport so no hacks please.

Course is not closed and others are riding it so with that in mind I would like to offer up that all teams ride safely and responsibly. This is a gentleman's/gentlewoman's sport so "safe and responsible" riding will be self-policed.

Absolutely no outside support allowed. No support cars, riders, pedestrians, or other method of support allowed. Stopping at rest stops is up to the team, but keep in mind this is a simple 30-ish mile ride - thanks to Hip's endurance....:rolleyes:.

Stakes:
I propose that the losers help offset the cost of the upcoming Great Lakes jersey for the winners. Something to the order of $5-$10?

:D ....no kidding. I started out with a tongue-in-cheek post to compliment you guys on your century ride!

This is not an actual race is it? I thought this is just a thread to ride our friends up north a little and move on to the next thread, then bump this one a week before the ride.
