Mitch

Hi to everyone. My name is Ian but most people call me Mitch even though I am 43!. I have been riding both socially and for commuting since the age of 16 when I left school. My work no longer allows me to commute back and forth so I just have to ride at weekends, early on a Saturday or Sunday morning, about 25 miles at a time.
I ride a Pat Hanlon Bike which I had built in 1983 and it still rides as well now as it did then. Just had to downsize the chain rings from 52 42 to 48 36 to cope with the hills in the Peak district just outside Manchester in the UK.
I am pleased to say my eldest lad, nearly 16, is riding his grandfathers bike which I rode many thousands of miles on. It was built in 1953 and it still one of the most responsive bikes I have ever riden. My Dad was over the moon to think a third generation was enjoying his bike.
Ilook forward to meeting other like minded people on this forum.
